Maverick Warriors Skegness
Maverick Warriors is a support group for anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis, whether they are the person with the diagnosis or they are supporting someone with a diagnosis.
With almost 100 members the group provides a safe space to meet others who have similar experiences, discuss difficulties, and share celebrations. The group prides itself in being a reliable support group within the area.
This informal group meet in a safe environment, where individuals can share experiences, ask questions, or simply listen to others and enjoy the social element. The group also host several speakers providing insight into, community services, health and wellbeing information, current projects within Lincolnshire cancer services and opportunities to get involved.
The group also offer online support, through their private Facebook account; here you will find dates of upcoming events, news regarding cancer developments, and most importantly a community. The page provides access to their private Messager Chat Group where individuals can seek advice, support, help or just have a good rant or laugh.
