Depending on the type of treatment you are having, you may be seen on one of our chemotherapy suites. The chemotherapy suites in our hospitals are designed to make you feel as comfortable as possible during your treatment. Staff will be available on the ward to answer any questions you may have.
You will receive a telephone consultation before your visit to the unit, where a member of the team will discuss your visit. We recommend having a notepad and pen or someone with you and the phone on speakerphone whilst this call occurs. This will allow you to refer to advice provided regarding location, what to expect, what to bring and the plans for the day.
Lincolnshire hospitals top priority is the safety of their patients, which includes the cleanliness of the sites, for this reason you will notice the smell of cleaning products throughout your visit. There are toilet facilities, including disabled access types, throughout the unit, including the Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy suite. The disables access toilets have facilities including medical waste bins for patients with Colostomy’s, Urostomy’s and other medical waste.
